Hailed as the master of the comic art form, Chris Ware is set to join the OFFSET Dublin 2018 line-up. A little secret, OFFSET HQ has been inviting Chris every year since OFFSET was launched but the stars never aligned until now, it only took ten years!!!

Chris was the first graphic novelist to win a major literary prize (The Guardian’s First Book award in 2001 for Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth). Chris is widely known for his New Yorker magazine covers, having contributed cartoons and over 30 covers to The New Yorker since 1999 and his award-winning comic strip, The Acme Novelty Library.

Chris has been widely recognized over his career, including winning multiple Eisner and Harvey awards. He was honored in the exhibition “Masters of American Comics,” at the Jewish Museum in New York City, alongside Jack Kirby, Harvey Kurtzman, and Will Eisner, as well as many others.

If like us you have admired his outstanding work from afar you will not want to miss him next March, we certainly have our seats selected and are giddy with anticipation.
