For all the creative minds out there, we will run a Portfolio Review at Indigo & Cloth on the 2nd of April. Specialists in visual and graphic design will be on hand to critique and provide valuable feedback on how you can strengthen your portfolio. Don’t miss the chance to get advice from designers of leading studios and hiring managers from the biggest agencies. Come along at Indigo & Cloth from 11 am to 5 pm.

However, for those of you who love the outdoors and are passionate about photography, why not take our Workshop in Photography from still life to portraits? You will have the chance to enjoy a day of photography with full tuition from a professional photographer, Mike O’Toole, around the city, its parks and its winding streets.

OFFSET could never forget about music as a vital ingredient to the OFFSITE recipe. By teaming up with Dublin City Council and Homebeat, OFFSET produced OFFBEAT, an outdoor music event celebrating Dublin from 2pm to 6 pm on April 2nd. The hub of activity will be located in the historic part of Temple Bar with activities for all the family and a programme of live music curated by Homebeat, featuring a range of performances from up and coming performers.

CURATOR

If the first thing you do when visiting a new city is to look for the hottest exhibitions or the local galleries, the Meet the Curator event is for you.
We have teamed up with leading curators of cultural institutions to gain insight into the process involved in planning, curating and managing the exhibition programme. Enjoy a gallery tour, focusing on how exhibitions and works are selected with a particular emphasis on storytelling. Locations include Marsh’s Library, The National Print Museum and Temple Bar Gallery & Studios.

On the 4th of April, OFFSET joins Bread and Butter, a monthly talk series organised by the Institute of Designers Ireland; to help spread the word on design.  For this OFFSITE event artist, graphic designer and illustrator Rob Lowe/Supermundane and more will be taking centre stage on the night at 6.30pm at The Odeon.

Join us for the launch of Roads Publishing new book The Creative Workplace in the The Gutter Bookshop, Dublin. We can't wait to take a sneak peak at some of the most famous studios from around the world.

At lunchtime in the Gutter Bookshop, on the 5th of April, Roads Publishing will launch its new book The Creative Workplace.  The event will feature a talk on Anatomy Of a Book by designer Conor Nolan and Publishing Director Maeve Convery, who will take us through the process of bringing a book to market from concept, production, design and marketing.

OFFsketch_blog

Offsketch also comes back this year, running on the 3rd and 7th of April. Offsketch celebrates all things illustration by teaming up with Illustrators Ireland and Dublin City Council and organising a sketch crawl around some of Dublin’s more interesting parks and buildings with some of Ireland’s leading illustrators: Steve Doogan, Alan Clarke and Steve Simpson.
