OFFSITE | Exhibitions

In conjunction with Dublin City Council and Fáilte Ireland, OFFSITE will take place across Dublin from the 30th of March to the 10th of April 2016 and it will transform the city into a design hub, taking design out of the studio and into the streets. We invite locals and visitors alike to join in the celebration of Dublin and Design with events, exhibitions, tours and more across the city.

OFFSITE wants to transform everywhere possible in the city into a gallery or an installation, so we came up with the idea of a mini-exhibition “Bus Stops”, which features ten works from creative including James Earley and Aoife Dooley, displayed at bus stops along the various routes to OFFSET.

Following the OFFSITE design map you will also be able to stumble upon innovative installations, which will appear in the windows of unique independent stores.

From the 31st of March to the 29th of April OFFSITE organized two wonderful exhibitions: Exhibition Time and OFFSIDE.

EHIBITION TIME

Kicking off in The Bernard Shaw, OFFSET & Robert Ickis Mirolo are excited to present Exhibition Time, an exhibit overflowing with Adventure Time themed artwork created by a host of amazing Irish and International illustrators. The exhibition celebrates our all time favorite cartoons; be prepared to feast your eyes on some of the most awesome illustrators paying homage to weird and wonderful world of Adventure Time.

OFFSIDE

Póg Mo Goal and OFFSET have commissioned a mix of Irish and international designers to produce a series of match-day posters for the Republic of Ireland’s trip to France for the Euros 2016. OFFSIDE, which features work from Conor & David, Geo Law, Hort and Kessels Kramer, with more to be announced, will be on display in the Square Ball at Hogan Place.

We can barely contain our excitement for the Russell Mills Exhibition at the NCAD Gallery. Award-winning designer Russell Mills will showcase his astonishing illustrations between the 6th and 29th of April.

Only one day after the launch of Russell Mills’ exhibit, Image Now Gallery will host the Typset exhibition until the 28th of April. Image Now and OFFSET have joined forces leading Irish typographic designers working in Ireland and abroad to create a contemporary type installation exhibition. Animating the Image Now Gallery during the OFFSITE Festival, the installation will be a collage of type, in the form of animations and gifs and will be a celebration of type as a constant influence in the world around us.

Information on all the OFFSITE events can be found here, see you there!
